Maritime Fire and Safety Association (MFSA) Oil Spill Contingency Plan 5 Year Review
Ecology invites interested public, local and tribal governments to review and comment on required 5-year updates to industry oil spill plans. Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 173-182 requires oil handling facilities, pipelines and vessels to have a state-approved oil spill contingency plan that ensures their ability to respond to major oil spills. These updates are required by the state’s oil spill planning regulations.
The below plan is currently undergoing a review by Ecology. Your comments, as well as Ecology’s review, will be considered before approving the contingency plan.
